Words that Help You Pick Up Speed!
- Goal
- A result that one is aiming to achieve. Every writer should have some kind of goal, whether it is to get more clients or complete work at a faster rate. Goals are essential to growth.
- Productivity
- The state of being productive. You actually have to produce something to have a high productivity. While many people confuse this with time management, you aren’t productive until you make a product.
- Efficient
- Making good, thorough, or careful use of resources; not consuming extra. Especially, making good use of time or energy. Think more. Write less. Conserve energy units!
- Outline
- To summarize something. You should summarize the goals you have and the steps you want to take to achieve those goals. Knowing what you want and how to get it is essential to achieving success.
- Revise
- To review, alter, or amend. You should revise your written works and your plans if you find they aren’t working efficiently. Adapting to new situations will save you hassle in the long run.
- Research
- To search or examine with continued care; to seek diligently. You should research your audience and your niche to find out what’s working and what’s not. Only through learning can you rise above the crowd.
- Speed
- The rate of motion or action. Are you speeding towards success at a high enough rate?

I especially like #1 (Goal) it’s important for everyone to have a goal, if not what can they base their success off of? Going deeper into that you have to pick a goal and STICK with it, and carry it out.

Great post, Corey! It’s amazing that these words have to be reiterated at all. I have to admit though that I always think of time management when I think of productivity, but if you think about the very nature of the derivative “produce,” it makes sense. I actually check your blog pretty frequently. I like the tips…straightforward and no bullshit.
