What is NaBloPoMo?

If you’re someone who’s intimidated by the idea of writing a 50,000 word novel in one month, don’t worry. There’s a new writing challenge that you can participate in, and it’s just the thing for the modern age: National Blog Posting Month.

The challenge is to write one blog post everyday for a month. From the website:

National Blog Posting Month is the epicenter of daily blogging! People who want to set the habit of blogging by doing it every day for a month, including weekends, can come here for moral support, inspiration, and the camaraderie that only marathon blogging can provide.

The best thing about NaBloPoMo? You can participate any month of the year. Just go to the website, create a profile, and start posting. If you want to see an example of a portfolio, check out my NaBloPoMo page.

How to Participate

Just blog. That’s all you have to do! Every day for one month. Think you’re up to it?

Looks like good stuff. But writing 30 posts in 30 day is really not much to my liking.. :)

As Melvin says, it looks good but I’m not sure it’d be that good. For example, on my blog I would be more than willing to post every day, but I simply wouldn’t get the traffic to those posts to make it worth it. I mean, usually I try and get 20 comments on my posts before I post again; usually it happens but if I were to post everyday then it would be almost impossible to hit that target.

After all, you can write the post but the work isn’t done until you’ve spent time promoting it.

It’s more of a challenge for newbies looking to get into the habit of blogging on a continuous basis.

It’s more of an experiment for new bloggers to get into the habit of blogging. However, there are bloggers that post everyday and do very well *shrug*.
